This book describes and explains the old myth of Innana. It describes how the female archetype is the holder of both life and death. The evolution of the expression of this archetype gives this volume relevance today as well as discussing the past of women.

This book is no longer in print and is hard to find. So grateful I was able to find a copy. Book is in used condition but in good shape. It is a short book with truly profound concepts to meditate on and consider.I recommend this book for all women (and men) who are bold enough to make this very deep Spiritual and personal journey.

I like the discussion and the Jungian thought made available in this book. I do NOT think it’s an easy read. It’s super short yet took me forever to plow through. It is dense and the writing style is somewhat confusing.

The myth of Inanna who descends to meet her dark sister Ereskigal who is in mourning provides a modern template for understanding the 7 steps process to the initiation of recovering the deep feminine. Great read especially for those conversant with Jungian terminology and psychology.
