My 10 year old daughter has been expressing an interest in becoming Catholic. I purchased this book for her because she wanted specific prayers she could say. The book is slightly larger than a paperback book. It isn't very long, but my daughter really likes it. The prayers are divided into categories, a basic order of Mass is included, and there is a "Stuff every Catholic kid should know" section with some basic information. This is a really good introduction to Catholic prayers. I also really like that they give additional information about the prayers. For instance, the book includes information such as the origin of the prayer and where you can go in the Bible to find more information. My daughter was thrilled with this book.

This isn't a fully bound book, It is simply folded in half and stapled in the center. This isn't that big of a deal for me so far as it's held up well to my destructive 4 year old, but others may find it disappointing.My daughter really enjoys looking through this book and asks me to read/say the prayers with her all the time, more out of interest than some devout inner devotion. So it has helped spark her interest in learning the prayers.What was most disappointing for me was the wording of the prayers. The words are not the traditional wording of the prayers that my daughter is used to saying. Some of the wordings of the prayers aren't even the normal modern wording of prayers, they just seem to be rephrased according to the publisher's desire. I wanted to use this book to help my daughter learn some of the more well-known prayers of the faith, but the wording isn't what she would be learning or using at school or church or anywhere that I know.

I am teaching the 2nd grade First Communion class at our church this year. I purchased this little book to go with the curriculum that is by the same company. Something the children could take home and USE. Bring back and USE during class time.1) this is the lowest price point I have found anywhere for this particular book2) it corresponds perfectly with the lessons set up in "Alive in Christ" by OSV3) the children adore it! (most important because that means they will USE IT!)This would be a Terrific resource for both first and second graders.

For Easter this year, I purchased these books for my reading age (grade school) nieces and nephews and also for my own young children. This is a very well done, thorough, fantastic book, containing even the updated Mass responses! I highly recommend this book.

THIS IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PRAYER BOOK. IT HAS SO MUCH INFORMATION TO LEARN AND SHARE AND REFER BACK TO IN THE YEARS TO COME AND YOU WILL NEVER REGRET THIS PURCHASE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR A CHILD AND EVEN ADULTS!

These paperbacks are fantastic!!! Especially for the price!!! They are more than paper just "stapled together". For the price, they are perfect! Purchased for my First Grade Faith Formation Class as an end of the year gift. Hopefully they're using them at home!

This book was given as a 1st Communion Gift. It was the perfect addition to other gifts that were given as well. It was thinner than expected, so I'm glad it wasn't the only thing given, but it was appreciated by the recipient and family.

I bought 11 of these books as end of the year gifts for my 2nd grade religion class. These are very cute books with good prayers and sweet little pictures. The kids were thrilled with them.
