Highly respected author, award-winning teacher, and popular professional presenter, Constance E. Bagley is Professor in the Practice of Law and Management at Yale University and a Senior Research Fellow at Yale Law School. Before joining the Yale faculty, she was an Associate Professor at Harvard Business School, a Senior Lecturer in Law and Management at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a corporate securities partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP. Professor Bagley received Yale's Excellence in Teaching Awards in 2009 and 2013. A past president of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business, she is a recipient of its Senior Faculty Award of Excellence. In addition to multiple published articles, Professor Bagley also authored WINNING LEGALLY: HOW MANAGERS CAN USE THE LAW TO CREATE VALUE, MARSHAL RESOURCES, AND MANAGE RISK (Harvard Business School Press, 2005), coauthored (with Craig E. Dauchy) THE ENTREPRENEUR'S GUIDE TO BUSINESS LAW, 4E (Cengage, 2012), and contributed to numerous other books. She received her JD (magna cum laude) from Harvard Law School and her AB (Honors and Distinction) from Stanford University. It doesn't replace the need for qualified legal help, but it will give you a strong foundation so you know what you're getting into.

Arrived as expected

Found this book to be very interesting and an easy read. I feel it's a must read for any serious entrepreneur. The books includes detailed information on all the important areas of law; including examples on applications of information covered in each chapter. Very concise and informative. I didn't feel like any of the material covered was a waste of time.

Very insightful. They cover this in some law schools across the US, so it's a good read for the average person to get on that same playing field.

Well organized outline, and very helpful. It included real life examples and cases. Definitely a book every Entrepreneur should own.

So I bought this textbook and leafed through the first hundred or so pages before losing interest for a bit and subsequently leaving it on my shelf for a time.Today I had a friend posit a question about venture capitalist involvement in a small start up business so I referred to my "Entrepreneur's Guide to Business Law." Lo and behold, practically the entire chapter 13: Venture Capitalists was missing! Pages 375-475 were completely gone. There was no evidence that the book had been tampered with as there were no tears and the binding seemed to be in tact. It seems like my copy was a horrible misprint. I purchased this book as a reference guide, as I am often involved in entrepreneurial ventures. This revelation is extremely disappointing. Though it is too late for me to contact the seller, I advise you to ALWAYS CHECK that you have received 100% of the pages of the book, advice I will be taking from now on.
