The characters are well developed. Flawed, but good. Trying to do well, but with burdens from the past.It's so interesting to watch them overcome their pain and try to do good.I would like to see more of Brett and Chiara's family.I hope the next book contains the Nick's coming out.I love that PJ and Chiara are starting to settle down together and that Chiara is starting to acceptthat she has PTSD. Hopefully talking to the counseler after the shooting will help, if she opens up.Not sure she can.It'd be cool if Chiara got PJ a place in her building.I wonder if it means anything that Chiara's father came to the hospital.Most of the story is a fairly detailed police procedural, about following dead endsand chasing different leads.It's frustrating, but fascinating.
