I will give Kaplan this, they know their target demo. LSAT test-preppers are so anxious for any advantage that they'll buy almost anything. Given the simply mind-bogglingly large sums of money involved in the law school endeavor (up to ~$200k) what's the cost of another book?This book was useless. Check out PowerScore if you absolutely must take the LSAT. (Although, seriously, you probably shouldn't take the LSAT. Find something else to do, statistically your odds of leading a happy life will increase).

As one of the other reviewers pointed out, the questions used for prep in this book are very different from the actual LSAT questions that you'll be tested on. Not only are the style of writing and the format of the questions different in LSAT 180 than on an actual LSAT exam, but also, an equally persuasive case could be made for more than one of the answer choices in some of LSAT 180's Kaplan-created questions. The same isn't true on an actual LSAT exam (or is very rarely true) because once the subtleties of actual PrepTest questions are mastered, there is almost always a clearly superior answer. On LSAT 180, I found myself unconvinced in several instances by Kaplan's explanations as to why their preferred answer choice was superior to one of the other answer choices available. This never happens on a real LSAT PrepTest once you have grasped the stimulus and the question stem, with all their subtleties.

The best prep for the LSAT is to take actual tests and examine your mistakes - for example, 10 Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests and 10 More Actual, Official LSAT PrepTests (Lsat Series). This book from Kaplan is a nice addition, although it's not required.The questions in this book are not the official questions, and most are far harder than anything you'll see on the LSAT. However, the value in this book isn't getting realistic questions. The value is training yourself to think like the test-makers want you to think. Think of this as high-altitude training. You get your mind ready for the types of questions you'll see on the LSAT, and you do that under tougher conditions than you'll see on the real thing.Don't rely solely on this book - the core of your prep should be real test questions. But it's worth spending some money for some variety on a book designed for people shooting for the very highest scores.

I got the book with a push from someone who got a 174.. he suggested that I study the logic games techniques or just do as many as I could because it would definitely set up some HARD problems that will make the other sets of questions you MAY have had difficulty on as well, seem a lot easier...I don't know how much help it was on Logic reasoning but all I can say is that I started off getting 17-19 correct.. I am consistently getting 20-21 correct and it really varies by exam and there isn't much you could do beyond what we are already doing for the logic reasoningyou either GET it or you dont...DEFINITELY get the logic reasoning bible from Powerscore though

This is a book designed to practice for the LSAT, a multiple choice exam. That objective isn't helped when every single problem in the book has already been filled out and extensively annotated. Incredibly disappointing.

On the contrary to what was written in description of this book,it was not only new but also written all over pages with ink.Not happy at all with this purchase!!:-((

I've seen a steady increase in my scores since starting this book. I was in the 169-170 range, now I'm hitting 174-176, and I still have half the book to go. Hoping it can push me to a 178 by October.
